At the Women’s Institute, we are dedicated to provide quality care to all: Care for Women by Women. Our staff enjoys being in the office helping patients but we also feel it is important to be involved in the community and industry organizations.
We are members of several medical groups including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) and American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS).
For your convenience, our office participates with most commercial insurance plans, Medicare, as well as, self-pay patients.
Dr. Julie Drolet
MD, FRCSC, FACOG, FPMRS
Dr. Julie Drolet is originally from Montreal, Canada and has been practicing in York since 1997.
She completed her medical school and Residency in Montreal and holds certification from The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. She is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology) in the United States.
Dr. Drolet also completed post doctoral studies in Advance Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery in Europe. This expertise benefits patients as they have less pain and shorter recovery.
Dr. Drolet’s areas of specialty and interest include chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, abnormal bleeding, fibroids, as well as, pelvic health issues including: prolapse, pelvic reconstructive surgery, and incontinence.
Deborah T. Gobel has been a nurse practitioner since 1978 and joined Women’s Institute for Gynecology in May 2005 specializing in women’s health care, menopausal issues, as well as, addressing Bio-Identical Hormones. She received her training at the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, New Jersey.
Since that time, she has been actively practicing in the York community. She is certified by the Nurses Association of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Carleen Myers has been a nurse practitioner since 1979 specializing in neurosurgery, urology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as, women’s health. She joined Women’s Institute for Gynecology in January 2017 and received her training at the University of Maryland
Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, Carleen relocated to York from Baltimore, MD to continue her work as a Nurse Practitioner.
Carleen Myers has been a past president of the Junior League of York and volunteered for Planned Parenthood, the Performing Arts for Children, Cub Scouts and Youth Ice Hockey Organizations.
Carleen is the proud mother of 3 adult sons. She has called York County home since 1981.
